An Blue-and-White Brush Pot with Narrative Figures 青花人物故事图笔筒

The exterior of this brush pot is painted in underglaze blue with a continuous narrative scene from Yuanyang Tao. The composition is formed by garden railings, windows, curtains, furnishings, rockwork, plants, and multiple groups of figures, creating a horizontally unfolding pictorial narrative. Elegant ladies, attendants, and musicians are arranged throughout the scene: some stand holding objects, one plays a drum, while others attend to a seated figure. The figures are varied in posture and clearly connected within the narrative, reflecting the visual language of early Qing romance and literary figure painting. The figures are rendered with fine outlines, while washes of cobalt are used to model garments, curtains, railings, and rocks. The faces are delicate, the drapery is fluid, and the brushwork is refined without becoming rigid. The spacious garden setting, natural use of blank space, and theatrical arrangement of figures together create the scholarly and narrative atmosphere characteristic of early Qing blue-and-white brush pots. 本件筆筒外壁以青花繪《鴛鴦絛》人物故事圖，畫面以庭院欄杆、窗牖帷幕、案几陳設、樹石花草及多組人物構成，形成橫向展開的連續敘事空間。仕女、侍女與樂伎分布其間，或執物而立，或擊鼓奏樂，或扶持坐者，人物姿態各異而互有呼應，情節鋪排清晰，具有才子佳人故事圖像的典型特徵。畫面以細線勾勒人物衣紋，並以青花濃淡分水表現衣褶、帷幕、欄杆與庭石。人物面相秀雅，衣帶飄舉，筆法細緻而不板滯；庭院空間疏朗有致，留白自然，兼具戲曲化場景與文房清賞氣息。整體構圖、筆意與青花發色，均顯示出清早期人物故事圖筆筒的鮮明風格。
